A’s look to slow down Rays
The Rays have started the season off great. They swept the first team they played, albeit it was the Orioles. The Rays have been a great team throughout the last couple of years and this year looks to be no different. Their young superstar Wander Franco started off right where he left off last season. He is already 6-11 on the season with three RBIs and a double. We’ll see how Franco holds up against teams that aren’t the Orioles though.
The A’s are coming off of their first win of the season as they beat the Phillies 4-1 on Sunday. The A’s will be starting Paul Blackburn who wasn’t good last year. Blackburn went 1-4 and had a 5.87 ERA in only 38.1 innings pitched.
I think the Rays will jump on Blackburn here. The A’s don’t have enough offensive firepower to stay with a team that has Franco, Brandon Lowe, and Randy Arozarena.
