AL East showdown in Fenway
The Blue Jays have just been staying afloat lately. They are 5-5 in their last ten games and are now 65-55 on the season. They are in a three-way tie with the Rays and the Mariners for the Wild Card and are eight games behind the Yankees in the AL East.
The Red Sox are 60-62 on the season. They are coming off of a 5-3 loss to the Orioles in Baltimore. Their season is not over; they are only six games out of the Wild Card.
Both of these pitchers haven’t been very good this year. Jose Berrio is 9-5 with a 5.39 ERA on the seaon while Rich Hill is 5-5 with a 4.68 ERA. Both of these guys are coming off of quality starts though. Berrios has been great against this Boston team though as he has started twice against them and given up only three runs in 13 innings. I like the Blue Jays here as they are the better team and will have a pitcher who is playing the team he has had the most success against this season.
