Astros look to pick up wins against lowly Cards
The Astros are coming off of a win over the Dodgers but they are slumping right now. They have lost seven of their last ten games and are down to just six games over 500. They are 5.5 games back of first in the division. The defending champs should turn it around soon.
The Cardinals have had the most underachieving season in baseball this season. They are in last place in the NL Central and they sit at 32-45 on the season. They are luckily in a horrible division and the playoffs are not completely out of reach if they get hot.
I like the under in this game. Framber Valdez will be on the mound for the Astros. He has been special this year with a WHIP of 1.00 and an ERA of 2.27. He also has a 5-1 strikeout to walk ratio. He is facing Jordan Montogmery who has not been as good but has been decent as he has a 3.69 ERA on the season. This should be a low scoring affair between one great pitcher and a decent one.
