Astros Look Down At Baltimore 

The Houston Astros are currently the top seed in the American league, and nothing in the last month has shown that they will lose that spot. They currently aren’t the top betting favorite to win it all, but it’s hard to argue against them. They’re entering tonight’s game on a 3 game-winning streak and having won six other last 10 games. The Baltimore Orioles are also relevant when it comes to the Wild card spot, as there are only 3.0 games back. But they have only won five of their last ten games, and this matchup against the Astros is not a favorable one for them. The Orioles, who followed a 5-3 win on Tuesday with a 5-3 loss on Wednesday, have won three of their past five games in their pursuit of a wild-card berth. They trail the Seattle Mariners by 3.0 games for the last AL playoff spot.

The Astros are sending out Lance McCullers for his third start of the season. McCullers (1-1) took the loss to Atlanta on Friday, allowing three runs on seven hits while striking out six and walking three over five innings.
