Are Angels turning it around too late
It seems like the Angels have finally figured it out. Forty games too late. The Angels went into Toronto and swept a good Blue Jays team. They not only swept them but they dominated as the Angels outscored Toronto 22-3 over the course of the series. They are now 55-73 on the season.
The Yankees have lost back to back games to the A’s of all teams. They are now 78-50 on the season. The Yankees haven’t clinched this division yet and if they continue to drop games to teams like the A’s they may lose a grip. The Rays are now only 7.5 games back.
Frankie Montas will be facing off against Ranger Suarez here. Montas has been killed ever since he joined the Yankees as he has a 7.50 ERA in his four starts for the Yankees. He is facing Jose Suarez who has a 4-6 record and a 4.19 ERA on the season. Suarez has been very good over his last five starts though. He has a 1.93 ERA over 28 innings pitched in that time frame. I think the Angels are being undervalued here. Their offense is playing very well right now and I think they will be able to get to Montas who has been horrendous lately. We have a hot team and pitcher facing a cold team and pitcher and the cold team is favored by a big amount.
