The Angels nightmare finally ended. They finally ended their 14 game losing streak against the Red Sox. It was a team record and the longest in the MLB this season. And somehow they still have a positive run differential at +8. Plus, Mike Trout is now day-to-day with a groin strain. But they dropped their last game to the Mets.

The Mets are now 39-21 on the season. They have built a big lead in the NL East as they are ahead of the Brave by six games. They are coming off of a win over the Angels. They need to keep winning though as the three teams behind them in the MLB own the three longest win streaks.

I actually like the Angels to win this game. I’m expecting Mike Trout to be back and the Angels will have Pablo Sandoval on the mound. Sandoval is 3-1 with 2.81 ERA this season. The Mets will have Taijuan Walker on the mound who is coming off of back-to-back losses where he has a combined 4.82 ERA.
