Angels try to erase meltdown from minds
The Angels are now 51-65 on the season. They were playing very well and had won five of six games before committing three errors in the ninth inning last night and completely melting down in a tie game. They are 11 games out of the Wild Card.
The Mariners own the first Wild Card Spot in the AL. They are only 0.5 games ahead of everyone else though. They are 63-54 this season and are coming off a win to the Angels that was gifted to them.
I like the under in this one. The Mariners will have Greg Kirby on the mound in this one. Kirby is 4-3 this season with a 3.39 ERA. The Angels will counter with Touki Tousssaint. Toussaint is 1-0 this season with a 2.70 ERA though three appearances. Kirby and Toussaint are both pitching great right now. Toussaint is coming off of a five inning start where he allowed no runs while Kirby is 2-0 with a 2.41 ERA over his last two outings. Plus, this game last night was 2-2 until the Angels’ meltdown.
