Angels look to defend LA against Dbacks
The Angels are 44-40 on the season and are right in the thick of the Wild Card race. They have slumped over their last ten game though as they have lost seven of their last ten games. They are 6.5 games back of first place in the AL West.
The Diamondbacks are leading the NL West. That is a sentence that no one expected coming into this year. They are now 49-34 on the season. They are still in first place but the Dodgers are now just two games back of them after the Dbacks have gone 5-5 in their last ten games.
I like the Diamondbacks in this one. They are going to have their ace in Zac Gallen on the mound. Gallen is 10-2 on the season with a 3.02 ERA. He will be facing Reid Detmers who is 1-5 with a 3.77 ERA on the year. Detmers has not been good lately after a decent start to the season and I think the Dbacks win this game.
