Alcantara looks for double digit wins

The Marlins had lost four straight games in a row before finally beating the Pirates. They are slipping and have now dropped to 44-49 on the season. They couldn’t hit. They had one of the worst hitting slumps ever as a team. They scored 1 run total over 36 innings. They need to get it together if they want to make a run at the Wild Card.

The Pirates are now 39-55 on the season. Record-wise they are overperforming in relation to their run differential and their expectations coming into this season. They are 10.5 games back of a Wild Card spot but I only expect that number to grow. 

Don’t overthink this. I know the Marlins have been horrible offensively but Sandy Alcantara will be on the mound here. The Cy Young front runner is 9-4 on the season with a 1.76 ERA. He also has a 0.90 WHIP. He will face Mitch Keller who is 3-7 with a 4.55 ERA. The Marlins will win this game behind their ace.
