AL East clash in the Bronx

The Yankees are now 62-27 on the season. They aren’t playing very well right now as they are 4-6 in their last ten and are coming off of a series loss to the Reds. This is actually their worst stretch of the season but it comes at a decent time as the All-Star break is approaching.

The Red Sox are coming off of four straight losses to the Rays. They are now 47-43 on the season and rank fourth in the AL East. They are 2.5 games back of the Rays in the division and are tied with the Blue Jays in the division while the Orioles are only 1.5 games back.

I love this pitching matchup. I think people will be hammering the over here with these offenses but I think these are two very underrated pitchers. Nick Pivetta is a good pitcher who is just coming off of two horrible starts. I think he bounces back here. Taillon is also coming off of two horrible starts. I think both of these guys regress back to their mean and deliver some good performances. I do ultimately like Pivetta more though. And I think the Red Sox are in desperate need of a win.
