Battle in Chicago

The Cubs are 49-51 on the year. Their division has been pretty weak this year so they are still relatively close to the lead as they are 6.5 games back of first. They are playing well lately having gone 7-3 in their last ten games. 

The Cardinals are just under the Cubs in the NL Central. They sit in fourth place and are 11.5 games behind the first place Brewers. They are 6-4 in their last ten games and need to turn it around quickly if they want a long shot at the postseason. 

I like the over in this game. We talked in our other video about how Justin Steele has been great this year but over his last two starts he has given up eight runs in just 12.1 innings of work. It isn’t any better on the other side. Mikolas has given up eight runs over his last two starts in just 11 innings of work. This should be a high scoring affair where Steele barely outperforms Mikolas.
