A Minor Battle However 

Tonight the Washington Nationals will take on the Chicago Cubs in a game that has no playoff implications but will serve more as a pride and confidence booster for these teams heading into next year. The Washington Nationals are currently in dead last in the NL east division with a record of 36–75. To make matters even worse they enter tonight‘s game on a six game losing streak. Their opponent the Chicago Cubs have a record of 44–64 and although that isn’t much better than the nationals it has the Cubs in third place in their division but only a half game ahead of the Reds and Pirates so this team can easily drop to last place after a couple bad games. Other than odds haven’t come out yet expect the Cubs to be favored because of the fact that the nationals have not won a game in over a week. 

 

The Cubs have however at one three of the last four games as they took two games from the Miami Marlins before dropping the third and following it up with a victory against the same nationals. In those games whoever even though Wednesday one scoring has been an issue for Chicago.
