Who will get to put on the Green Jacket odds, prediction, and betting tips for the Masters
It is finally upon us, the first major championship during the golf season and none better to get things started then the Masters Championship at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia. Every year this is the tournament that ultimately puts the golf season into drive. Millions of people gather to Augusta National or gather around their televisions to watch this event. Just like Jim Nantz says, “A tradition unlike any other.” This year will be the 87th edition of the Masters Tournament, where there will be 88 players in the field competing through April 6th-9th to ultimately wear the green jacket and win the first of four major championships this season.

Most people are going to have their money on the favorite and reigning Masters champion Scottie Scheffler. There is no doubt he is the best golfer playing right now and has been doing nothing, but winning or collecting top 5 and top 10 finishes. The only problem I have with Scheffler this year is that it is almost impossible to win this tournament back-to-back. There has only been three golfers to do it and they are some of the best golfers in the history of the sport. Jack Nicklaus 1965-1966, Nick Faldo 1989-1990, and Tiger Woods 2001-2002. Plus, today’s competition is way more competitive than the competition they had back then.
Besides not liking Scottie Scheffler to win this tournament, I also do not like Rory McIlroy, Patrick Cantlay, Tony Finau, and Justin Thomas. I know Rory is one of the favorites to win, but I just can’t bet on him with his previous problems and complaints he has had with his driver. He has a good background at the Masters I just wouldn’t trust a guy who is having problems with the big stick right before a major championship.
Patrick Cantlay has been playing solid golf recently, but at the Masters he really hasn’t done anything except be mediocre. His best finish ever here was at the 2019 Masters where he tied for 9th place.
Tony Finau always does well at the Masters and he loves this course. The only problem is the past couple of years he has been right there and has never been able to pull through and win. With the elite level of competition he is playing against I just dont see him pulling through to win.
Finally, Justin Thomas has been bad all this season. He just doesnt look like himself this season for some reason. He has hasn’t played to his elite level that we are all used. I do not trust him to figure it out before a major championship, because golf is all about are you heating up and playing well at the right moment.
I love Jordan Spieth and where his odds are at right now to win this tournament. Spieth has been playing great golf this season and looks ready to win another Masters championship. He has great knowledge of the course and knows what it takes to win at Augusta. He is my favorite to win the tournament this year.
If you do not trust Jordan Spieth because of his previous problems of having some bad rounds to ruin his chances in tournaments, I would go with Jon Rahm then. He has finished in the top 10 four out of the six times he has played here. Plus, we all know he has it in him to go out one day and put up a great score. He has the experience of winning major championships.
If you are looking for a long shot to put money on I would ride with Tyrell Hatton. He has been playing wonderful golf this year. We all saw his performance at the Players Championship. Although he has never had a top 10 finish here, this season he looks poised to put on a show at a major championship.

6. Tony Finau +400

The safest bet of the whole tournament to me with the best value in it is Scottie Scheffler to finish in the top 5 at +150. He is too good not to be up there on Sunday competing to win the whole thing. Even though I think he doesn’t win, he still plays well enough to earn a top 5 placing.
Also, I love Tony Finau here to place in the top 5. The five times he has played here at Augusta he has three top 10 finishes, with one of those being a top 5. I think after his poor performance last year here he will look to get back his previous success he has had at Augusta.
A player with great odds that I also like to finish in the top 5 is Viktor Hovland. Hovland is great with irons and that what it takes to be successful at this course. Hovland has never even had a top 10 finish at the Masters, but he has had success at other major championships.

6. Tony Finau +180
7. Justin Johnson +200
8. Xander Schauffele +200
9. Dustin Johnson +210
10. Jason Day +210
The one player I like on this list that haven’t talked about yet is Dustin Johnson. Johnson really has played in a competitive atmosphere like this in a long time, since he’s joined LIV Golf. I still like him to play great at Augusta and ultimately get a top 10 finish.
A great player that not a lot of people are talking about in thos tournament this year is Collin Morikawa. He is also a great iron player, and it will certainly help him out in this tournament. I like Morikawa to place in the top 10 at Augusta this year. His odds are +220 to place in the top 10.
Prediction
Jordan Spieth to win +1800, Scottie Scheffler Top 5 Finish +150, Tony Finau Top 5 Finish +400, Dustin Johnson Top 10 Finish +210, and Collin Morikawa Top 10 Finish +220
