Washington Goes For Seventeenth Straight Win
The Washington Huskies (9-0) are the No. 5 ranked team in the country, putting them right on the precipice of the College Football Playoff. The Huskies currently hold the second longest win streak in the FBS, and if they win this weekend, Washington will secure their 17th-straight victory. The last time the Huskies lost was back in October of 2022, but this year under quarterback Michael Penix Jr. Washington has been unstoppable. Averaging 41.7 points while holding opponents to 23.0 points per game, the Huskies are heavily favored to continue their impressive streak.
The Utah Utes will look to take down Washington on Saturday, but with quarterback Cam Rising out for the season, Utah will be hard pressed to match the Huskies offense. At 7-2, the Utes are the No. 18 ranked team in the country, but key injuries have severely hurt Utah. They average 25.0 points per game and hold opponents to 15.9 points, but Utah is 2-13 against Washington all-time, and have little to no chance of beating the Huskies at home. Washington won’t take this game lightly though, as a blowout victory against a ranked opponent could move them into the Top-4, which would mean a spot in the College Football Playoffs.
So for our (18)Utah vs. (5)Washington expert pick, take the Washington Huskies to Cover (-9.5) on Saturday.
