USC Trojans No Longer Ranked

The USC Trojans entered the college football season as the No. 6 ranked team in the nation. But after their third loss of the season, USC is now unranked for the first time since 2021. The Trojans are 7-3 overall, but went 1-3 in their last 4 games, surrendering 40+ points in 5 of their last 6. USC fired their defensive coordinator, Alex Grinch, with just 2 games left in the season, and the team seems to be in total disarray. The Trojans face the No. 6 ranked Oregon Ducks this weekend, and enter the contest with little hope of winning. 

The Oregon Ducks are 8-1, and are heavily favored to beat USC. The Ducks are averaging 47.4 points per game, while allowing 16.0 points to their opponents. Oregon’s only loss came against No. 5 Washington, where the Ducks fell short by just 3 points. USC’s offense is solid, averaging 45.5 points per game, but their defense is terrible, giving up 34.5 points to their opponents. Oregon is notoriously difficult to beat at home, and with USC in a complete downward spiral, the Ducks will secure another convincing victory.
