The Rebels Continue The Fight
Ole Miss is the No. 13 team in the FBS at 5-1, and this weekend the Rebels will travel to Auburn, Alabama to take on the Tigers. Auburn is unranked at 3-3, and enters the contest as +6.5 point underdogs. The Tigers lead the series 35-12 over Ole Miss, but this season the tables have turned, as the Rebels are expected to win this battle.
Auburn has lost 3-straight games and have yet to win a conference matchup. The Tigers average 27.7 points per game, but they have been wildly inconsistent. They only scored 10 points against Texas A&M (10-27), then nearly beat the No. 1 ranked Georgia Bulldogs (27-20), only to get blown out by LSU the following game (18-48).
Ole Miss on the other hand, has been solid most of the year. The Rebels only loss came against No. 11 ranked Alabama, but Ole Miss has performed well in all their other games. They beat LSU 55-49, a team Auburn lost to by 30 points. The Rebels are averaging 41.7 points per game, while Auburn’s defense is giving up 34.0 points per game to SEC opponents. The Ole Miss Rebels should have no problem dispatching the Tigers.
So for our (13)Ole Miss vs. Auburn expert pick, take the Ole Miss Rebels to Cover (-6.5) on Saturday.
