The Ole Miss Rebels Hosts The Tigers of LSU

The Ole Miss Rebels are 3-1, and despite the loss last weekend Ole Miss retains their status as the No. 20 team in the nation. It was a rough go for the Rebels last week, who lost 10-24 against the Alabama Crimson Tide. It was the toughest scoring game for Ole Miss, who entered the contest averaging 52.7 points per game, but they couldn’t move the ball against Alabama’s defense. The Rebels will look to redeem themselves, but face another strong defense in the LSU Tigers.

LSU is also 3-1, with their first loss coming after the first game of the season. The Tigers faced the No. 5 FSU Seminoles, and actually hung around in the first half, but ultimately lost the game 24-45. LSU narrowly avoided the upset last week, beating unranked Arkansas by just 3 points (34-31), but the Tigers remain the No. 13 ranked team, and the favorites to win over Ole Miss.

LSU averages 42.75 points, while Ole Miss averages 42.0 points, and while it will inevitably be a close game, I like the Tigers in this one. Ole Miss’ 10 points last week were concerning, and while LSU nearly lost to an unranked opponent, they pulled off the victory, and the Tigers have yet to score less than 24 points this season.

So for our (13)LSU vs. (20)Ole Miss expert pick, take the LSU Tigers Moneyline (-142) on Saturday.
