Tennessee looks to blowout Ball State in opener
Tennessee went 7-6 last year. They are looking to improve their defense as the offense was incredible last year as they ranked behind only Alabama in the SEC averaging 39.3 points per game. The Vols lost both starting receivers but are looking to replace some of that production with former star receiver Bru McCoy.
Ball State has been picked to finish last in the West division of the MAC conference. They went 6-7 last season and will return 11 starters. Ball State didn’t end last season well as they lost in the Camellia Bowl to Georgia State 51-20.
I love the under here. 67 is a ridiculously high total for these teams in my opinion. Ball State averaged just under 20 points a game over their last three games last season. I don’t think they get to even 14 points against a SEC defense in the Vols. I think the Vols will obviously put up points here but there will be some growing pains in this offense with their top two targets not returning. I don’t see them scoring more than 40.
