Oklahoma State looks to improve on last season
The Cowboys were one of the best teams in the nation last year. They finished the year at 12-2 and with a 37-35 win over Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl. They can’t help but feel though that it was an underachievement as they were just one yard away from possibly making the CFP.
The Chippewas had their best season in the last decade last season as they went 9-4. They finished their season with a Sun Bowl win over Washington State.This team will go how their running game goes as RB Lew Nichols led the team with 1,848 yards last year on a FBS leading 341 carries.
I actually like the Chippewas team here. This team showed last year in their Sun Bowl victory that they can play with Power Five teams as they beat Washington State. I know how good of a team this Oklahoma State team is but their driving force last year was their defense as they ranked 1st in the Big 12 in total and scoring defense. They lost their defensive coordinator and seven starters though. I think Lew Nichols can penetrate this new defense and make it a game. I am getting three touchdowns here.
