Nevada and New Mexico State meet in ESPN late night showdown

Nevada finished last season 8-5. They finished third in the Mountain West West and fifth overall in the conference. They lost their head coach in Jay Norvell and will be looking to replace the air raid offense that helped them average 36 points last year. 

New Mexico State went a dismal 2-10 last season. They fired Doug Martin and brought in Jerry Kill. They will bring back only one player who caught more than 20 passes last season. This will be a tough test for Kill.

The Aggies opened as 14 point underdogs. This number has dropped 5.5 points to 8.5. The Wolf Pack have owned the Aggies over the years as they have won 14 of the 16 meetings. Last year, Nevada destroyed the Aggies with a 55-28 win. I know this line has dropped a ton, but that is just giving us more wiggle room. I think a lot of people are overvaluing the effect of Nevada losing its head coach. This is still a good program that has made a bowl game in 14 of the last 17 years.
