Not including their bowl game, the Mean Green won five straight games to close the season. They ended up 6-7 on the season but 5-3 in the conference and third in Conference USA West.
The Miners reached their first bowl game since 2014 last season. They finished the season 7-6 overall but were behind the Mean Green in Conference USA as they went 4-4 in the conference.
The Miners were one of the surprise teams of last year as they won seven games, that matched their win total from the previous five seasons. The Mean Green played the Miners last season and beat them on a last second field goal. That game was in North Texas though. I love that the Miners are at -1.5 here.
