Miami Fl season wins o/u 9.5 prediction

The Miami Hurricanes, better known as “The U” finished 2020 with an 8-3 record. They finished 7-2 in the ACC, all under second-year coach Manny Diaz. This year, as he enters his third season as head coach, Diaz looks to capture more. The Hurricanes have relatively good odds to even win the National Championship at +4000. You have to take into account the last time they won the National Championship was in 2001.

They face a tough opener against the Alabama Crimson Tide, one of the best college football organizations in history. This is good for us though, we’ll get to see right from the beginning how good the Hurricanes will be this season. Today though, in an effort to get you the best picks available, we’re taking a look at their win totals. Per BetOnline, the Miami FL win total is at 9.5, meaning they need 10 wins to go over. Can the Hurricanes pull out ten wins this season, or is the under a better bet?

What Can We Expect In 2021?

The good news is the team that went 8-3 last season looks similar to the one taking the field in 2021. It’ll be another year under Manny Diaz, which means more time to gel together and work out the kinks. The Hurricanes made leaps in terms of offense in 2020, especially when compared to their 2019 offense. They ranked 27th in scoring and 31st in pass yards per game. This was mostly due to a change in format by offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee.

They moved to an up-tempo offense that attacked down the field often. This year they can refine that technique even more due to QB D’Eriq King was returning to the Hurricanes. The offense will see even more consistency in 2021, with their star QB back under center. You have to remember though that this is reliant on King coming back healthy from surgery. After tearing his ACL, we’ll have to see if King is the same dynamic player as before. If not, expect the offense to look a little more complicated.

The Offensive Line Outlook For 2021

The front line for the Miami Hurricanes took a big step in 2020 from 2019. They allowed 1.5 fewer sacks per game, which really helps the flow of the offense. This season they’ll need another leap, especially with D’Eriq King returning from an ACL tear. Zion Nelson, an offensive tackle that was a rising talent in 2020, returns for his junior year with the team.

We might also see different packages that will alleviate the stress on the offensive line. This is solely reliant on how mobile King will be this season. If he isn’t you might see an extra tight end, or a running back in the backfield.

Over Or Under 9.5 Games, What Should You Choose?

When looking at their schedule, there’s one clear-cut game that should be a loss for the Hurricanes. That game is the first of the season against Alabama. Aside from that, the Hurricanes have a very favorable schedule, much better than 2020.

This leads us to take the over. The last time the Miami Hurricanes won ten games was in 2017, where they finished 10-3. We expect a similar year from Miami in 2021, especially with the return of a healthy D’Eriq King. Head to BetOnline to place your over 9.5 wins for the Miami FL season wins prediction.
