Huskies On Top

The Northern Illinois Huskies head into this game after a great season last year where they had a record of 9-5. The Huskies will have their quarterback Rocky Lombardi coming back this season and he will look to build off from last season. Lombardi threw for 15 touchdowns and rushed for 9. The guy is a beast. Lombardi will have his favorite wide receiver in Trayvon Rudolph coming back and they were able to connect on 7 touchdowns last season. 

The Eastern Illinois Panthers, on the other hand, finished last season with a miserable record of 1-10. They lost their starting quarterback to the transfer portal and now have a question mark at the position. It will be interesting to see how the new starter plays for them. This game can go really bad, real fast for the Panthers so they need to make sure they play their best if they want a chance.

These teams have matched up twice in the past and the Huskies have won each matchup. The Huskies won the previous game back in 2017 by a final score of 38-10.
