Early Conference Clash Between Tennessee and Florida
The no. 11 Tennessee Volunteers face SEC rival the Florida Gators in an early conference clash between two storied programs. Florida leads the all time series with a 31-21 record against Tennessee, but the Volunteers are a newly revamped program, and are looking to close the gap against the Gators. Tennessee is 2-0 after back-to-back blowout victories in which the Vols allowed just 13 points to their opponents in each contest. Florida is unranked, and after losing 11-24 in their season opener against no. 12 Utah, the Gators will likely remain unranked this season.
Tennessee is favored, but Florida is a familiar opponent who knows the Volunteers well. The Vols can’t afford to underestimate the Gators, who have nothing to lose and everything to gain, a dangerous mix. It’ll be Tennessee’s toughest test thus far, but with their offense averaging 477.5 yards per game, along with a defense that’s given up just 2 total touchdowns, I like the Volunteers chances to beat the Gators by at least a touchdown.
So for our (11)Tennessee vs. Florida expert pick, take (11)Tennessee to Cover the 6.5 point Spread (-110) on Saturday.
