Cowboys travel to Illinois to kick off season

Wyoming was pretty average last season as they went 7-6 on the season. They were 3-3 on the road and 3-3 at home. They finished the season strong as they picked up a nice 52-38 win over Kent State in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.

Illinois was also pretty average last season as they went 5-7 and finished 4-5 in the conference. Illinois has yet to announce the starting quarterback for this game. 

I like the under in this one. The Illini will focus on the ground game here no matter who is behind center as they were the worst passing team in the conference last year. This will slow the game down significantly. The Cowboys lost a key running back, wide receiver, and two quarterbacks in the transfer portal this season. We know the Illini will attack the ground as the Cowboys were the best team in their conference when defending the pass but they ranked third to last when defending the run.
