BYU looks to start season off on right foot
BYU is looking to build on the success of last season as they went 10-3. They had won five straight games before dropping a close 31-28 bowl game to UAB. BYU has been impressive in season openers lately as they have won 13 of their last 15.
This USF team was not good last year. They went 2-10 on the season and finished second to last in the AAC as they were 1-7 in the conference. They ended their season on a five game losing streak.
After hearing all this you are probably wondering why BYU isn’t favored by way more in this game. A main part of this is that these two teams played last season at BYU and BYU only won 35-27. This game is now at USF. Plus, this USF team has shown a lot of heart when playing ranked teams. They played Houston and Cincinnati last year towards the end of the season and lost to Houston 54-42 and to Cincy 45-28. They obviously can stay with these teams. This line has already moved down to 11.5 and I think they’ll cover that number especially at home.
