Blue Devils Host The Wolfpack For ACC Showdown

In an ACC showdown, NC State travels to Durham to take on Duke. The Wolfpack are unranked, have a 4-2 record, and sit in the middle of the Atlantic Coast Conference. Duke on the other hand, is No. 17 in the country, have a 4-1 record, and are 3rd in the ACC, making Duke the favorite over NC State.

The Blue Devils are coming off a tough loss last week, where they fell to Notre Dame in a 21-14 loss. It was Duke’s toughest test of the young season, but they played well, and only lost by a touchdown. The Blue Devils average 34 points and allow 11.2 points per game, while NC State averages 29.2 points but allows 23.5 points per game. The Wolfpack also lost to Notre Dame, but instead of losing by a single touchdown like Duke, NC State lost by 21 points to the Fighting Irish. 

I like the Duke Blue Devils in this one. Duke’s defense has given up just 8 touchdowns through 5 games, while NC State’s defense gave up 6 touchdowns to Notre Dame alone. The Wolfpack even allowed a whopping 41 points to the Marshall Thundering Herd last week. Duke will score early and often, while NC State will struggle to move the ball against the Blue Devils stifling defense.
