In a must-watch conference championship, No. 5 Oregon will square off against No. 3 Washington to determine the winner of the Pac-12. Either Oregon or Washington will celebrate the incredible achievement of winning the conference, but there’s so much more at stake in this game. Whoever wins will not only be crowned the Pac-12 champion, but will also punch their ticket to the College Football Playoffs, and a shot at the National Championship. 

The Oregon Ducks are 11-1, while the Washington Huskies are 12-0, but it’s Oregon who is favored to win. The Ducks only defeat was a 3-point loss to the same Washington Huskies, but a dominant second-half of the season has propelled Oregon to the top spot on the sportsbooks. The Ducks have won 6-straight, beating opponents by an average margin of 26 points. Washington on the other hand may be undefeated, but they’ve had some close calls, winning their last 3 games by an average of just 4 points. One of the biggest stories of this Pac-12 Championship game is the rivalry between the two opposing quarterbacks, both of whom are vying for the most prestigious award in college football, the Heisman Trophy. Bo Nix, Oregon’s QB, will go head-to-head against Washington’s QB, Micheal Penix Jr. Both players have had excellent season’s, and the winner of tomorrow’s conference championship could determine who wins the Heisman Trophy. Nix is currently favored, but if Penix beats him twice in one season, the odds could shift. Nix and Penix Jr. are fully expected to bring their A-game for this must watch matchup. 

Oregon vs. Washington Game Predictions

I’m taking the Oregon Ducks to win the 2023 PAC-12 Championship. Oregon has been rolling over their opponents this season, while Washington has shown signs of weakness after some close calls. For example, the Ducks torched their rival Oregon State 31-7, while Washington struggled against the Beavers, narrowly winning by just 2-points in a 22-20 showdown. Compared to Washington, Oregon averages more points, more yards, and has given up 14 fewer touchdowns than the Huskies. The Ducks should be undefeated, but Washington narrowly escaped with the win after Oregon’s kicker missed the game tying field goal. The loss certainly left a sour taste in Oregon’s mouth, but tomorrow night in the Pac-12 Championship, the Ducks will wreak their vengeance on the Huskies.
