Middle Tennessee has not started great going 1-3 to start the season with some heartbreaking losses. After losing to Alabama week 1 in a blowout they went and almost beat ranked Missouri losing by 4. Then beating Murray State and losing by a touchdown to Colorado St. Their offense has shown the ability to drive down the field but penalties have killed them as they are one of the most penalized teams in the sport. Their run defense has looked stout but are vulnerable through the air.

Western Kentucky has looked decent starting the season 2-2. Other than getting blown out by Ohio State they have looked solid losing by 3 to Troy. This defense has looked solid only allowing 75 points in 3 games excluding the Ohio State blowout. QB Austin Reed led the nation in passing last year and is looking to do the same starting the season throwing for over 1000 yards with 9 tds to just one interception.

Take Western Kentucky in this game. The Hilltoppers have won the last 4 editions of this matchup and I expect them to make it a fifth. The Middle Tennessee defense is great against the run but suspect against the pass which is exactly what WKU wants.
