Georgetown vs. Seton Hall

The Georgetown Hoyas will travel to the Prudential Center to take on the Seton Hall Pirates in a Big East matchup (6:00 p.m. ET, CBSSN). The Hoyas will look for a win as they are currently on a five-game losing streak. Georgetown lost their last game at home to the Marquette Golden Eagles on Saturday 89-75. Look for Georgetown to come out ready to play as they desperately need a Big East win. Meanwhile, the Pirates will look to snap their two-game losing streak. Seton Hall lost to the Villanova Wildcats on Saturday 58-54.

The Hoyas are currently in last place in the Big East standings. Georgetown is 6-20 on the season and 1-14 in conference play. The Hoyas have struggled on the road as they are 0-9 this season as the away team. Look to see if Georgetown can fix their problems and get their first win on the road when they travel to face Seton Hall.

The Hoyas this year have been led by sophomore guard Primo Spears who leads the team in points and assists. Spears is averaging 15.9 points and 5.5 assists a game on the season. He has gotten help from sophomore guard Brandon Murray who is averaging 14.5 points a game on the season.

Offensively, the Hoyas have been average this season averaging 70.9 points a game. Defensively, though they have struggled allowing teams to score an average of 77.5 points a game. Look to see if Georgetown can fix their offensive struggles against Seton Hall.

With an 15-11 record on the season and an 8-7 record in conference play, the Pirates are 4 games back from first place in the Big East standings. The Pirates have been shaky at home this year as they are 9-4 in the Prudential Center. Look to see if they can fix their home struggles in this one against a struggling Georgetown team.

Seton Hall has gotten production from a lot of their players this year. Senior guard Al-Amir Dawes has been leading the Pirates this year as he leads the team in points. Dawes is averaging 12.3 points a game on the season.

In their loss against Villanova, senior Tyrese Samuel led the team in scoring finishing with 14 points. Dawes finished with 13 points. In the game he struggled from deep shooting 2-7 from the three-point line. In the loss Seton Hall shot 39.6% from the floor and 35.0% the three-point line.

Prediction

I love the Pirates in this spot at home. The Hoyas have been struggling as of late in Big East play losing their last five games. I think their struggles on the road as they remain winless. Seton Hall has the better weapons and guard play as they use it to their advantage in this game. Look for Al-Amir Dawes to have a monster game in this one just like he did earlier in the year against the Hoyas.

Prediction: The Seton Hall Pirates cover the spread (-11.5).
