Gonzaga vs. Loyola Marymount
The Gonzaga Bulldogs will travel to the Gersten Pavilion to take on the Loyola Marymount Lions in a West Coast Conference matchup (11:00 p.m. ET, CBSSN). The Bulldogs will look to add to their two-game winning streak in this game. On Saturday, Gonzaga defeated the BYU Cougars 88-81. The Bulldogs have now won four of their last five games. Meanwhile, the Lions will look to bounce back after their 71-69 loss against the Santa Clara Broncos on Saturday. Loyola Marymount has struggled recently only winning two of their last five games.
With an 21-5 record on the season and an 10-2 record in conference play, the Bulldogs are 1 game back from first place in the WCC standings. Gonzaga has been so successful this year because of their ability to win at home. They are a 12-1 when playing in the McCarthey Athletic Center this season. The Bulldogs have also been successful on the road this year as they are 5-2 as the away team. Look to see if they can pick up a huge win on the road and keep their chances of getting the top spot in the WCC alive.
Gonzaga has gotten production from a lot of their players this year. The Bulldogs have four players averaging double-digit points this season. Senior forward Drew Timme has been leading the Bulldogs this year, as he leads the team in points, rebounds, and assists. Timme is averaging 21.1 points, 7.4 rebound, and 3.5 assists a game on the season. They are also, led by their junior guard Julian Strawther who is averaging 14.6 points this season.
In their win against BYU, Strawther had a monster game leading the Bulldogs in points finishing with 26. He shot 8-14 from the field and 4-8 from the three-point line. Timme was right behind him finishing with 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists. In the win Gonzaga shot a remarkable 50.9% from the floor and 33.3% from the three-point line.
Offensively, the Bulldogs are averaging 86.3 points a game on the season. Defensively, Gonzaga has struggled allowing teams to score an average of 74.0 points a game on the season. Look to see if their high-powered offense can give the Broncos trouble.

He has gotten help from senior forward Keli Leaupepe who is averaging 13.5 points and 7.0 rebounds (Which leads the team) a game this season.
In their win loss against Santa Clara, Shelton and Leaupepe tried everything possible to help the Lions win as it just wasn’t enough. Shelton finished with 36 points. Prediction
I like the Lions in this game covering the spread. The Lions have been great ATS at home this season and have already knocked off the Bulldogs this season on the road. Now they can get a chance to do it again at home this time. Between Cam Shelton and Keli Leaupepe, the Lions have the offensive power to keep up with Gonzaga’s high-powered offense. I think Gonzaga gets their revenge and wins the game, but Loyola Marymount keeps it within eight points to cover the spread.
Prediction: Loyola Marymount Lions cover the spread (+7.5).
