BOLD PREDICTIONS FOR LAS VEGAS RAIDERS IN 2021 | O/U 7|OSB

Las Vegas Raiders Season Wins O/U 7

The Las Vegas Raiders have low expectations this year after finishing 8-8 in 2020. This season, the team is only expected to win 7 games, leaving them with a 7-10 record. It’s strange when you consider this is a team that ranked seventh in total passing yards. Not to mention, they averaged 27.1 points per game.

The Raiders had eight wins and losses in 2020, leaving them dead even at .500. That could be why sportsbooks are expecting a worse season this year. The Raiders are also in one of the tougher divisions in the AFC, giving them another disadvantage. Let’s take a look at the schedule and some offseason additions before making our pick.

Quarterback Questions Continue To Haunt The Raiders

Derek Carr, the current starting quarterback for the Raiders had a strong 2020 outing. However, it seems as trouble could be brewing between himself and Head Coach Jon Gruden. Marcus Mariota, the former Titans quarterback proved to be a great addition to the team. Mariota played in one game, going 17 for 28 and threw for 226 yards. In only nine attempts, Mariota amassed 88 rushing yards.

Compare that to Carr’s 140 yards on 39 attempts and you’ll see the differences between them. Mariota can pull the ball down and run, creating more opportunities for points. Carr is a much more traditional quarterback, who struggles making snap decisions. They made moves in the offseason to add targets for Carr but even then, indecisiveness will cripple you. If the Raiders want to contend with the Chiefs in the AFC West, they’ll need to iron out the hiccups at QB.

The Odds Don’t Favor The Raiders This Year

BetOnline has the odds at Las Vegas Raiders O/U 7, handing them a losing season. Jon Gruden, wouldn’t want to hear the team is expected to lose ten games but that’s the verdict. The schedule this year isn’t kind to the Raiders, who not only have to worry about facing the Chiefs twice.

The Raiders have the Baltimore Ravens as the first game of the season, followed by the Pittsburgh Steelers. Truly, we could see the Raiders’ first win not happen until Week 5 versus the Chicago Bears. Aside from a few clear-cut wins, the Raiders seem to be the underdog in every game. With certain performances last year, like the 43-6 loss to Atlanta, the chances Las Vegas wins over seven games is looking slim.

Over Or Under 7? Which Way You Should Lean

With the strength of schedule and the weak defense of the Raiders, the under here looks more promising. There are a total of 11 games on the Raiders schedule that should be expected as losses. That would give them a record of 6-11. Aside from a push, the best bet here is going to be the under.

Had the Raiders did more in the offseason to strengthen their defense, we’d be more apt to take the over. However, against the teams they’ll face this year, head to BetOnline to place a bet on under seven games.
