The final game on the slate at BetAnySports in Week 2 of the new NFL season is a Monday night clash between the Seattle Seahawks and the Chicago Bears. Game time from Soldier Field is set for 8:15 p.m. with ESPN carrying the national broadcast.

Seattle at Chicago Game Overview

A mass exodus of players from a defense that was one of the best in the NFL coupled with an offense that turned into a one-man show in Russell Wilson has dampened expectations for Seattle this season. The Seahawks got things started in the wrong direction with a 27-24 loss to Denver as three-point road underdogs. The total went OVER BetAnySports’ 42.5-point closing line in last Sunday’s loss.

Wilson ended the game against Denver with 298 yards passing and three touchdown throws, but his second interception ended Seattle’s chances to pull out the win. The Seahawks’ offense was once again very one dimensional with a total of just 64 yards rushing. The Broncos moved the ball at will against this defense with 324 yards through the air and 146 yards on the ground.

Chicago should be 1-0 heading into this game, but a 20-point blown lead against NFC North rival Green Bay resulted in a 24-23 loss as a seven-point road underdog last Sunday night. The total went OVER the 45-point closing line at BetAnySports. The Bears have gone 9-3-1 against the spread in their last 13 home games and the total has stayed UNDER in five of their last seven games overall.

Behind Mitch Trubisky on offense and Khalil Mack on defense, Chicago’s prospects to finally climb out of the basement in its division standings are starting to look up. Trubisky ended the game against the Packers with 171 yards passing after completing 23 of his 35 passing attempts and he added another 32 yards and a score running the ball. Mack made a huge impression in his first game with the Bears highlighted by a 27-yard interception return for a touchdown.
