Game 2 of a best-of-seven opening round playoff matchup between the Los Angeles Clippers and the Golden State Warriors is set to tip off this Monday night at 10:30 p.m. on TNT from Oracle Arena.

Los Angeles at Golden State Game Overview

The Clippers lost three of their last four regular season games straight-up, including a 131-104 setback against Golden State on April 7 as 11.5-point road underdogs. With Saturday’s 121-104 loss to the Warriors as 13.5-point underdogs on the road in Game 1 of this best-of-seven playoff series, they have now failed to cover OnlineSportsBet’ closing line in their last five outings. LA is 1-2-1 against the spread in its last four road games.

LA relied heavily on its bench in Saturday’s loss with Montrezl Harrell scoring 26 points and Lou Williams adding 25 points. The Clippers shot 40.4 percent from the field and they went 11-for-30 from three-point range. Williams was the team’s leading scorer in the regular season with 20.0 points per game and he also led the team in assists (5.4). LA was ranked fifth in the league in scoring with an average of 115.1 points a game.

Golden State appears to be primed for its title defense with Saturday’s convincing win. It closed out the regular season with six SU victories in its last seven games while going 4-3 ATS. The Warriors won the regular season series against their Pacific Division rivals 3-1 SU with the series tied 2-2 ATS. The total stayed UNDER 233.5 points on Saturday and it has stayed UNDER in the last three games between the two. Golden State is 4-1 ATS in its last five home games.

Seth Curry connected on eight three-point shots in Game 1 as part of his 38 points. He has now become the NBA’s all-time scoring leader in three-point shots in the postseason. The Warriors were able to capitalize on a hot first quarter to take an early nine-point lead that they never relinquished. Kevin Durant added 23 points to the winning cause. Golden State shot 49.5 percent from the field while going 14-for-30 from three-point range in Game 1.

While I do not see the Clippers getting a SU win on the road this Monday night, I do think a better overall effort with keep things closer than BetAnySports’ current 13.5-point spread.
