Backyard Brawl in Pittsburgh
Pitt had their best season in a while last year. Behind now Steelers QB Kenny Pickett they finished the year 11-3 and won the ACC. They will attempted to replace Pickett with Kedon Slovis. Slovis had 7,500 passing yards and 58 touchdowns at USC.
This is a big year for Neal Brown and the Mountaineers. Brown has been there three years and is just 17-18. Last year they finished the year at 6-7 on the season. They will have a new QB in J.T. Daniel who was acquired form the transfer portal.
The Mountaineers are going into Pittsburgh’s stadium here and will have to put up an incredible performance to not get destroyed. I don’t think they can do it. Pitt was incredible last season and even though they lost Pickett I really don’t think Slovis is that big of a downgrade as he was very good at USC. Look for Pitt to take advantage of the Mountaineers through the ground game and the air.
