Ok, let’s get to our Ravens vs Dolphins best bets for Thursday Night Football.

The big question mark surrounding this game tonight is whether or not Tua Tagovailoa will return at QB for the Dolphins, but as we tape this video it appears to us that he will not return and Miami will go with Jacoby Brissett under center, but in all reality it doesn’t matter who starts as it really won’t affect the pointspread too much. This isn’t a case where you have an Aaron Rodgers missing the game where the line would move seven points or more. In this case, both Tua and Brissett are well below average QBs, and either way, this Miami offense is going to struggle tonight against a Ravens defense that loves to feast on bad QBS.

What hasn’t been reported very much this week is that the Miami defense is also going through some key injuries as starting safety Brandon Jones and linebacker Jerome Baker were both limited in practice during the short week.

That is bad news for Miami fans because this defense is terrible to begin with and if you have to start leaning on back-ups, it’s going to be a long night tonight. Don’t be fooled by Miami’s performance last week when they held Houston to 9 points as the Texans moved the ball up and down the field on Miami but went 0 for 4 in the red zone, including two trips inside the 5 yard line.

That misleading kind of stat can lend value and that’s why we are going to jump in and play Baltimore’s team total over 27.5 points tonight.

Everyone knows the Ravens rank first in the NFL this year in rushing yards per game, but very quietly Lamar Jackson is throwing the ball with great efficiency this season, and ranks 8th in the league in passing yards per game. The Dolphins defense does a poor job of rushing the QB, so Jackson will have plenty of time to feast on a Miami defense that is 30th in the league in defending the pass.

Baltimore averages 27.6 points per game and we think they’ll easily eclipse their season average tonight, so for our Ravens vs Dolphins prediction let’s go over the team total of 27.5.
