Ok, let’s get to our NFL picks Chicago vs Tampa Bay.

The defending Super Bowl champion Buccaneers come into today’s game with a 5-1 record and they’ll host a Bears team today that is 3-3.

This is a rematch of that memorable Thursday Night Football game from last season when Tom Brady lost track of the downs and helped the Bears escape with the 20-19 upset win.

This is a much different Bears team on offense as this year they have turned over the reigns to rookie QB Justin Field and rookie running back Khalil Herbert, and we think the Chicago offense is really going to struggle today against a Tampa Bay defense that is the best in the NFL against the run, allowing just 54.8 rushing yards per game. The Bears offense is dead last in the league, averaging just over 4 yards per play and without a running game to depend on, they’re going to be in trouble if they have to rely on the passing game, as Fields is ranked 33rd in the league in QB rating this season and has proven he really struggles when pressured up the middle.

The Bears have failed to cover 8 of their last 9 games when playing on the road against winning teams while the Bucs have covered six of their last seven home games, scoring 30 or more points in all seven of those games.

Finally, Tom Brady loves to bury bad teams, as seen by his 23-7 record against the spread when his team is a double-digit favorite.

Bottom line here: Tampa Bay simply has too much offensive firepower for the Bears, who will be overmatched on both sides of the ball.

So, for our Tampa Bay vs Chicago NFL expert picks, let’s lay the lumber with the Bucs.
