Ok, let’s get to our Utah State vs New Mexico prediction.

On these daily free winner videos, we often talk about how the public and the oddsmaker tend to overreact to what happened last week and when that happens you can always jump in and find value. That’s precisely the case we have here this week with Utah State, which got embarrassed last week in a 44-17 loss to Wyoming as a TD favorite.

While that loss is concerning, it provides us some value this week as our power ratings think this 15-point spread is too low. Because of that loss, we expect a very focused and highly motivated Aggies team to come out and put forth their best effort of the season. And when you lay double-digits on the road, that’s what you need.

Utah State is still alive for a chance to go to the Mountain West Championship Game. All they need to do is win this game and have Boise State lose on Saturday to San Diego State, so we know they will come in with a sense of urgency and take care of business against a New Mexico team that has been downright awful this year on offense and is down to its third-string quarterback.

For the season, New Mexico is averaging just 12.4 points per game, which ranks almost dead last in the entire country. The team hasn’t scored more than 17 points in a game since a Week 1 win over rival New Mexico State and they simply don’t have the firepower to compete with a motivated Utah State team that averages over 30 points per game.

The Lobos have been money eaters in conference play, covering just 9 of their last 34 games, and they are also just 1-6 ATS in their last seven games as a home dog.

So, for our Utah State vs New Mexico prediction, we are going to lay the 15 points on the road with a motivated and underrated Utah State team.
